This home by A Parallel sits in a prominent spot above Bouldin, with an 80’ swim-through lap pool that cantilevers over the street.

The modern house, with its Corten steel fence and gate was a perfect setting for a garden that became a study in contrasts, layered with lots of texture and color to give it a lush yet native feel.

The dramatic pool floats above the landscape and is nestled into the tree canopy. Saw Palmetto Palms frame the pool with a striking evergreen blue/green texture but are not so tall as to obscure the view. The courtyard is centered around a long-blooming Palo Verde tree paired with‘Indigo Spires’ Salvia, Shrimp Plant, Plumbago and a small kitchen garden. These well adapted and native plants attract butterflies and add year-round texture and color.
